Kidney Cancer – UPDATE

Question:

I passed a personal milestone last Thursday and wanted to share it with the fine people that monitor this group. Three months ago, after being diagnosed with malignant renal cell carcinoma, I had a nephrectomy… removal of my right kidney. Last week I had a full physical that showed no recurrence. I will still need to be examined every 90 days, just as a precaution… but I appear to be A-OK! When I first received my diagnosis I posted a KIDNEY CANCER QUESTIONS message on this board. Response was fantastic. I corresponded, via e-mail, with nearly two dozen persons who had the same diagnosis. They shared so much information and I will be forever grateful. I also heard from nearly a dozen physicians. They provided much information and gave me many questions to ask my doctor. Many Thanks Doctors. I’ll continue to monitor the group and whenever I see a subject posting pertaining to Kidney Cancer I’ll respond and try to repay the favors that were done for me. God Bless, Doug Collins Doug Collins

Hi Doug,   I’m glad to hear that you are doing well.  That is always good news when coming from someone who has been diagnosed with cancer.  Just don’t get complacent and keep going in for your checkups as often as you need to. Dazzy Deb Heaven Doesn’t Want Me, and Hell is Afraid I’ll Take Over
